2018 RSPH Student Conference

22 October 2018

Congratulations to Kayla Smurthwaite and the RSPH Student Conference organising committee for their outstanding work in organising the RSPH student conference this year. The conference provided an excellent opportunity to highlight the fantastic research being done by students in RSPH and provided valuable conference experience for the presenters and organisers. A number of members of RSPH have let me know how fabulous the conference was this year, so congratulations on a highly successful conference.

Congratulations also to the two speakers who were awarded the conference prizes for best presentations. Laura Ford was the winner of the 15 Minute category with her presentation on the cost of non-typhoidal Salmonella in Australia and Naomi Clarke was the winner of the 3 Minute category for her presentation on waging war on worms. They have each won $500 , which they can use for their PhD research .They were both well deserving and reflected the high standard of presentations this year.
