New grants/funding
- The ANU Research School of Population Health has been awarded $600,000 in ACT government funding to conduct research on secondary CVD prevention.

Awards
- Jenny Welsh was awarded the Baume travel scholarship to attend the Society for Epidemiologic Research’s Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MI, from 18-21 June.
- Roxanne Jones’ MPhilAE was awarded (no thesis revisions required).
Implementation, Engagement and Outreach
- Emily Banks and Rosemary Korda attended an ANU/Department of Health roundtable discussion on 9 May 2019 as part of a delegation led by the CHM Dean. The broad aim of the roundtable was to work on building a closer relationship between the ANU and the Department of Health.
- Grace Joshy attended the ‘Day of Women in Mathematics Panel’ discussion on 13 May 2019. This was hosted by the ANU Mathematics Society.
- Jenny Welsh represented NCEPH at the invitation-only workshop ‘Developing wellbeing indicators for the ACT’ on 2 May 2019. The workshop was sponsored by the Health Research Institute, University of Canberra and the Australian National University Centre for Health Stewardship.
- Rachael Rodney-Harris and Jenny Welsh presented at the annual Canberra Pint of Science event on Monday 20 May and Wednesday 22 May 2019.
- Kamalini Lokuge chaired the reproductive health session at the MSF Scientific Days 2019 at the Royal Society of Medicine in London on 9-10 May 2019.
- Jason Agostino attended a roundtable held by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and NACCHO on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health assessments on 3 and 4 May 2019. The aim of the roundtable was to develop health assessment templates to guide best practice preventive care.
- Jason Agostino attended a NACCHO round table on embedding pharmacists within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations on 30 May 2019.
- Ray Lovett attended a meeting in Yarrabah on developing community level measures of wellbeing.
