Life events influence healthy population ageing

Professor Hal Kendig, Chief Investigator at the Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) and his colleague Professor James Nazroo from the University of Manchester, have edited a special edition of the Journal of Population Ageing.

Life Course Influences on Inequalities in Later Life: Comparative Perspectives, brings together seven articles by leading international researchers to focus attention on social advantages and disadvantages over the entire life course, and between nations. 

The editors argue that the life course approach to research in healthy population ageing is expanding research capacity and opening new research directions.
