Mafruha Alam has joined NCEPH to commence a PhD that builds on her public health research in Bangladesh.
For the last five years she has evaluated and monitored mHealth services in Bangladesh. She has coordinated the formative research of Aponjon service ( the first national mHealth service serving 650,000 women in Bangladesh), implemented by Dnet and has contributed in preparing the joint publication of Aponjon report with Johns Hopkins University team.
She has co-authored a monograph on qualitative findings about mobile phone usage in addressing women’s health in Bangladesh. She has presented on the impact of Aponjon messages among expectant women, new mothers and their gatekeepers at national and International conferences.
