Improving Health in the Coalfields

This project aims to develop a model of primary health service delivery for Australia that is relevant to and meets the needs of the regional populations that it serves; uses available local resources to best advantage; is responsive to change and may therefore be generalized and adapted to a variety of local conditions across the nation; is responsive to local changes that may occur over time; meaningfully engages a broad spectrum of stakeholders including the local population, health care providers across the sectors, providers of human services, and government (local, state and national as appropriate) in the planning and development of health services for the local region.
