A Master of Philosophy (MPhil) normally takes between one and two years of full-time study (or equivalent) and is designed for students who require an advanced research qualification.

As an MPhil student you will work with increased independence, under the direction of a supervisory panel of experts in the field. Your research will make an original and important contribution to human knowledge, research and development.

Students will be required to submit a thesis of not more than 60,000 words for examination, and may be required to undertake some coursework.
