Hossein Tabatabaei is a Postdoc Fellow Researcher at the Centre for Mental Health Research, ANU. His main interests relate to research on mental health with a particular interest in neurobiology of chronic mental disorders. In his PhD project, he investigated the brain structures involved in Alzheimer’s disease, more specifically brain structural changes predictive of progression from mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer’s. His background is medicine (MD) with more than fifteen years’ experience as an addition specialist who research on the neurobiology of craving in substance users. He is interested in analysis and visualisation of mental health care and service patterns in health care ecosystems.
