Professor Rosemary Korda

Professor

Biography

Rosemary Korda is a Professor of Epidemiology at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, with research interests in chronic disease, health services and health inequalities. She has extensive experience in the analysis of large-scale multisector linked data. Her current research includes studies on: innovation in use of linked data; inequalities in health and healthcare, and unwarranted variation in care; and health risks of environmental exposures based on residential location. In addition to her research, she has had a major role in curriculum development and teaching in postgraduate population health courses and in supervising higher degree research students. She also runs courses for the Australian Public Service on using linked data. She is currently serving as an expert member on several committees, including the Australian Government's Medical Devices and Human Tissue Advisory Committee (MDHTAC), the ABS PLIDA (Person Level Integrated Data Asset Technical Advisory Group and the AIHW Veterans Advisory Group.
