Biography

Prior to joining NCEPH, Alice worked as Regulatory Manager for Medicines Australia, the research-based pharmaceutical industry association developing policies and negotiating with government on ways to improve the regulatory environment for prescription pharmaceuticals in Australia. In addition, Alice was previously employed by the Commonwealth Department of Health for almost five years, commencing as a graduate and working primarily in the Pharmaceutical Benefits Division. 

Alice has a Master of Medical Science in Drug Development from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience from Monash University.  

Alice will be investigating the real-world use and safety of anticoagulants using the 45 and Up Study dataset linked to administrative health records. The intention of this research is to inform discussion on the use and safety of anticoagulants and to generate real-world data to inform ongoing decisions in health care. This research will investigate potential implications for pharmaceutical regulation and reimbursement policy.
