Anna Rafferty

Biography

Anna is a MAE 2021 Scholar, placed within the Australian Government Department of Health Communicable Disease Epidemiology and Surveillance Section.

Prior to commencing the MAE program, Anna was based as a surveillance officer within the National Incident Room at the Department of Health, working on outbreaks and clusters of SARS-CoV-2 in Australia. She assisted the Victorian Department of Health with contact tracing during the period of heightened community transmission and South Australia during their snap lockdown in November of 2020.

Anna was previously a research assistant on the PFAS Health Study at NCEPH, and a Research Officer at the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE).

Anna has Bachelor of Science (ANU) and Master of Public Health (ANU).
