Callum Thirkell

Callum has a broad range of experience primarily focused on pre-hospital care as an Intensive Care Paramedic. 

Experience in public health program management during 2008/09 in Tanzania spurred an interest in public health. On returning to New Zealand and while working as a Paramedicine lecturer in Wellington, he completed an MPH through James Cook University. 

Callum is enjoying gaining broad operational experience with the communicable disease team at ACT Health whilst designing an antimicrobial resistance surveillance system, undertaking sexual health data analysis and conducting an antenatal vaccination uptake study.
