Hayley Dyke

MAE Student


Hayley is undertaking the Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE), commencing in 2021.

She will be placed in the Tasmanian Department of Health, Hobart for the duration of her study, where she also works as a Public Health Medicine Advanced Trainee.

Hayley completed her Master of Public Health, majoring in Disaster Health and Humanitarian Assistance, via James Cook University in Cairns between 2018 and 2019. In this time, she commenced a research project into termination of pregnancy in Cairns, which she endeavours to complete in 2021.

Hayley's areas of interest are sexual and reproductive health, disaster health, infectious diseases, and training and education.

She is aspiring to develop her practical field epidemiology skills during the MAE to support future research into, and professional practice within, these areas of interest.
