BSc, BVSc, MANZCVS (Veterinary Epidemiology)
MAE Student

I am a veterinarian who has worked with the NSW government as a District Veterinarian dealing with livestock herd health management, exotic and endemic animal disease exclusions and awareness. In addition, I was involved in Emergency Animal Disease Preparedness and management along with emergency management during natural disasters. Prior to undertaking the MAE I was the Area Disease Manager for the Southern South Island of New Zealand working to eradicate Bovine Tuberculosis from New Zealand.

What attracted me to the MAE program was the opportunity to develop my skills in communicating key scientific messages to a variety of audiences as well as developing skills in analysing data and designing epidemiological studies. I hope to venture into the field of One Health eventually and look forward to utilising my skills gained from the MAE and beyond to work overseas in developing countries and in Australasia.
