Mental health and wellbeing
About
The Mental Health and Wellbeing group focuses on the psycho-social-behavioural factors that impact on individuals’ mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan. We seek to advance knowledge and understanding of the mental health and wellbeing of the Australian public in general and amongst specific populations, with the aim to identify and understand the mechanisms by which we can improve individuals’ wellbeing and psychological functioning. The group uses a multi-disciplinary approach, using theoretical and analytical approaches from psychology, sociology, health and epidemiology. We also contribute to public policy debate on issues that underpin mental health and wellbeing.
