Duplication in pathology

This project investigated the potential of reducing the costs of unnecessary duplication within primary care and between primary care and secondary care. Duplication in pathology testing was chosen as the area of inquiry. Researchers conducted a review of the literature, and analysed the experiences which patients shared in focus groups held in one urban and one rural area. Their findings were reported in several conferences, including thePrimary Health Care Research Conference (June 2010).
