Patient affiliation with GPs in Australia

The authors drew on a previous national survey of the Australian community to identify people who were likely to use a single GP or GP practice, and to identify the characteristics of those most highly affiliated with a single GP and those least affiliated. The paper also explored some of the outcomes of affiliation in terms of preventive care provided to the overweight and to smokers.
