Quality and Efficiency in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology

The interrogation of pathology databases by machine learning to identify patterns associated with (a) superior quality of general laboratory performance, (b) novel decision-making algorithms based on routine assay data patterns to support diagnosis and monitoring, and (c) application of methods across the domains of machine learning, statistical modelling and synthesis of evidence to investigate viral diseases. At a fundamental level, these projects are germane also to developing techniques to support direct studies of human biology and disease.
