Defining and prioritising epidemic-prone diseases in the Asia-Pacific Region: a scoping review

The WHO has identified pandemic and epidemic prone infectious diseases - but many of these don’t occur in the Asia-Pacific region. There is limited or poor quality data on many infectious diseases that pose health security threat. The aim of this scoping review will be to identify epidemic-prone diseases in the Asia-Pacific region, and define appropriate measures to quantify the burden of epidemic-prone disease. This will ultimately inform a disease prioritisation list for the region. Depending on the student capability and enrolled degree, an addition component of expert consultation to inform the scope of the review might be included.
