Models of care for patients with drug resistant TB - what works?

Patients with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) require 9-24 months of treatment with a combination of potentially toxic drugs. TB treatment completion rates for patients with MDR-TB are low, at approximately 50%. It is clear that these patients need additional support to complete treatment however the models of care that have been successful have been infrequently described. In this project the student will use a scoping review technique to describe what models of TB care for patients wih MDR-TB are effective in improving treatment outcomes for these patients.
