She accepted an invitation to become an Associate Editor of Palgrave Communications, founded in 2015 with a focus on interdisciplinarity and research impact, as well as the humanities and social sciences generally. She also accepted an invitation to be one of two ANU Vice-Chancellor’s representatives on the ANU’s School Reviews. The role involves acting as an ANU voice to help orient overseas reviewers and to ensure the review recommendations align with the University’s strategic plan and vision.

Preparations for second semester teaching of POPH8104 Contemporary Issues in Public Health geared up, including innovations in how the course will be run. Gabriele also recorded guest lectures for Methods in Applied Epidemiology Research on research implementation.

The Integration and Implementation Insights blog continues to flourish and this month published the first contribution from RSPH (apart from Gabriele). Check out Ann Larsons’s blog post: Scaling up amidst complexity.

The last in Gabriele’s “Toolkits for Transdisciplinarity” series was published by the journal GAIA, which has also brought out an online compilation of all eight toolkits. Gabriele will now write a new series on “Frameworks for Transdisciplinarity”.
