Biography

Daisy is a PhD candidate at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health with an interest in Infectious Disease Epidemiology. Her PhD explores pathogen genomics for infectious disease surveillance with a focus on Tuberculosis.

Previously, Daisy completed her Honours at the Kirby Institute at UNSW researching CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing approaches to inhibiting HIV-1. She has worked in science policy at the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, and currently works in science communication and government relations at the CSIRO.
