Biography

Malizgani Mhango is a Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) student in the 2023-2024 Cohort.  Malizgani's placement is at
ACT Health.

His area of interest is public health research focusing on infectious diseases surveillance systems, occupational health, and safety, Quality improvement Systems in health, Monitoring, and Evaluation, and implementation of infectious diseases programmes that are pivotal in improving health outcomes.

His experience spans more than ten years of delivering medical laboratory services in fast-paced environments, resource-limited settings, and demanding and complex environments in Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Somalia. He has worked with the Centre for Disease Control, the International Centre for AIDS Prevention, and the University of California San Fransisco during the implementation of the Namibia Population-based HIV Impact Assessment as well as the Population Services International Zimbabwe in the implementation of the DREAMS and PrEP projects.

He holds a BSc Honours degree in Medical Laboratory sciences, post graduate diploma, and a Master of Philosophy in HIV/AIDS management.
