Ms Josephine Jones

Biography

Josephine is a Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) scholar in the 2024-2025 cohort. She is undertaking her field placement in the Communicable Disease, Epidemiology and Surveillance Section at the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. 

Prior to commencing the MAE, Josephine worked in the Australian Capital Territory’s (ACT) COVID-19 Response in a variety of areas including contact tracing, outbreak response, quarantine, testing site management and epidemiology. She also worked at ACT Health to use lessons learnt from the pandemic to support health emergency preparedness activities. 

Josephine has a keen interest in rural health, communicable diseases and outbreaks and health emergency management.
