Biography

Mulu is a Master of Applied Epidemiology (MAE) scholar in the 2022/2023 cohort.  She is undertaking a placement at the Western Australia Department of Health (WA Health) in the Communicable Disease Control Directorate.

Mulu has a background in Public Health, having PhD in Public Health and Master of Public Health.  Prior to commencing her MAE, Mulu worked at the Victorian Department of Health holding different roles. Recently, she worked as Epidemiologist during which she engaged in the COVID-19 response. She also has experience in research, data analysis, project management and academia, holding different roles at the Burnet Institute, Monash and Swinburne Universities.   

Outside of work, she loves jogging, being outdoors and backyard gardening.
