Zarzeez Anindya

Student (MAE)

Biography

Zarzeez is a Master of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) student in the 2022-2023 Cohort. She has her placement with the Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE) in Canberra. She is working specifically with the Epidemiology and One Health team of the Animal Health Policy Branch.

She is a clinical doctor and holds a Master’s of Public Health degree. After working as a clinician for a while, Zarzeez discovered her passion for Public Health and Medical Research and started her journey in the world of Epidemiology. 

Before joining the MAE program, Zarzeez worked with Women’s and Children’s Healthcare Australasia (WCHA) and was involved in quality development projects. Her area of interest is infectious and zoonotic disease and the implementation of one health approach. Outside of her day job, Zarzeez loves to binge-watch TV series, hang out with friends and do mixed media painting.
