August report for Data Analysis for Population Health Hub

5 August 2020

The DAPH Hub organised a panel presentation/discussion regarding the lessons learned following the recent retraction of Lancet and NEMJ articles and the implication for research practices. The event on Thursday 23rd July featured four ANU researchers with combined expertise in statistics, data science, clinical trials and infectious disease epidemiology: Dr John Maindonald (Visiting Fellow, Mathematical Sciences Institute), A/Professor Bruce Shadbolt (Biological Data Science Institute and Medical School), A/Professor Colleen Lau (RSPH) and Professor Emily Banks (RSPH). The event was well attended and prompted some interesting discussions. In case you missed the event, take a look at the DAPH webpage to see the video recording. https://rsph.anu.edu.au/research/groups/rsph-data-analysis-population-health-hub
