Biography

Getenet earned his BSc in Nursing from Debre Berhen University, his MSc in Adult Health Nursing from Debre Markos University, and his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Bahir Dar University.

He has worked as a full-time academic as a lecturer and researcher at Bahir Dar University.

His doctoral research focuses on the double and triple burden of malnutrition, socioeconomic determinants, learning and health outcomes, and community perspectives using longitudinal data. He will stay at ANU for 3-4 years.
